Retaining walls serve many purposes when it comes to landscaping. No longer just serving a utilitarian function, a retaining wall today is expected to enhance the landscape rather than just blend in. You might even wonder with the beauty a retaining wall can add if it may have been intentionally added and the function came after. You can build a retaining wall with the Windsor wall product up to 2 feet high. That would be a total of 7 layers of wall because it is recommended that you bury one full layer of wall in the ground for stability. A general rule of thumb is to take your wall height and double it. This will give you the distance needed between walls.

Freestanding stone fence and barrier walls can be built with a solid face on both sides of the fence or wall. Building freestanding fences and walls can be freestyle, no repeated pattern is required or suggested.

Unlike retaining walls that have only one face, freestanding projects have faces on both sides.
